(TSX / STATS) -- GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Coyotes goalie Antti Raanta was replaced after the first period of Arizona's game against the Detroit Red Wings because of a lower-body injury.

Raanta stopped nine shots during a scoreless first period, but backup Louis Domingue came on to start the second period.

Raanta was held out of the Coyotes' season opener against Anaheim on Oct. 5 with a lower-body injury, but he returned to start the next three games.

This is the second consecutive game in which Raanta left early. He gave up three goals on the five shots he faced Tuesday at Vegas and was pulled only 6:15 into the first period of Arizona's 5-2 loss.
