Buffon said he would attempt to play despite the meniscus problem for a couple more months to help Juventus in the Serie A and Champions League. "If I make certain movements I feel some pain. But I want to hold out as long as I can because we've got the Champions League now and Juve-Inter at the beginning of December," Buffon said. Buffon will sit out Italy's match against Cyprus in Parma on Wednesday. The Azzurri qualified for the World Cup with a 2-2 draw in Ireland on Saturday. After the operation, Buffon expects to sidelined until February, which should leave him plenty of time to get back in form and play in his fourth World Cup, which starts June 11.
