|July 4 5:28 PM PT6:28 PM MT7:28 PM CT8:28 PM ET0:28 GMT8:28 5:28 PM MST7:28 PM EST4:28 UAE (+1)02:2820:28 ET7:28 PM CT23:28 - Durant said he would be ready for next season and he hasn't thought about the summer of 2016 when he likely will be the biggest domino in a free-agent class that already seems certain to earn incredibly large deals as the league's salary cap skyrockets.
Analysis: Durant is already a four-time NBA scoring champion and doesn't even turn 27 until September. He might not even be in his prime yet. Teams will do whatever they can next summer to get him, much in the same way LeBron James was pursued in 2010 when he wound up signing with the Miami Heat. For now, Durant said, everyone else can focus on that. He is just trying to play. "To be honest, my main thing is getting rid of distractions," Durant said.

Analysis: The team has said the league's reigning MVP will miss the rest of the season and is expected to return to full basketball activities in four to six months. The Thunder said in a statement that Dr. Martin O'Malley operated Tuesday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, with team medical personnel present. It was the third surgery Durant has had on the foot. He had the initial procedure last October, then had a screw replaced in February.

Analysis: It is clear that something is weighing heavily on the superstar's mind at this time and that is bad news for fantasy owners. He continues to have pain in the right foot he injured earlier in the season. "It's tough, but I'll figure it out," he said. "I've just got to get through it, just keep getting treatment. Talk to the trainers tomorrow and see what we can do to make it better. We'll see."

Analysis: Durant was 4 of 6 from 3-point range and appears to have found his stroke of late, though the timing may not be ideal with the All-Star break now upon us. He is 13 for 21 from beyond the arc over his last three games.
|Feb. 10 11:40 PM PT12:40 AM MT1:40 AM CT2:40 AM ET7:40 GMT15:40 12:40 AM MST2:40 AM EST11:40 UAE08:402:40 ET1:40 AM CT5:40 - Durant scored 40 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat Denver 124-114 on Monday night, handing the Nuggets their sixth loss in a row.

Analysis: Durant made 10 of 15 shots and talked some trash to Chris Paul during the lopsided contest. That's a sign that the superstar is confident so fantasy owners will want to take advantage.
|Feb. 2 3:08 PM PT4:08 PM MT5:08 PM CT6:08 PM ET23:08 GMT7:08 4:08 PM MST6:08 PM EST3:08 UAE (+1)00:0818:08 ET5:08 PM CT21:08 - Durant returned in shaky fashion Friday.

|Jan. 26 4:13 PM PT5:13 PM MT6:13 PM CT7:13 PM ET0:13 GMT8:13 5:13 PM MST7:13 PM EST4:13 UAE (+1)01:1319:13 ET6:13 PM CT22:13 - Durant, a game-time decision, had a team-best 15 points in an 85-74 loss in Memphis on Saturday night.

Analysis: Durant added eight rebounds and eight assists to make up for what fantasy owners would term as a subpar output in points. Durant got a scare in the second half when he fell after a dunk in transition, remaining down on the court for a few minutes. He said after the game that it was just a stinger, and he didn't expect it to be an issue going forward.

General manager Sam Presti said the procedure was performed at a clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina, after the team, Durant and his representatives "jointly decided" surgery was needed.
Analysis: Durant will be re-evaluated in six weeks. The reigning NBA MVP was diagnosed over the weekend with a "Jones fracture," a broken bone at the base of his small toe. The Thunder open the season Oct. 29 at Portland. A six-week absence could have Durant back for the start of December, with about 65 games remaining.
