De Rosario helps Dynamo tie FC Dallas 2-2
FRISCO, Texas(AP) Dwayne De Rosario scored in the 93rd minute and added an assist to help the Houston Dynamo tie FC Dallas 2-2 on Wednesday night.
Houston forward Brian Ching took a shot from inside the penalty area that FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala stopped, but the ball bounced straight to De Rosario. He tapped the ball into the left corner of the net with the inside of his right foot.
Both clubs had to play the final 10 minutes of the match with only 10 players after Houston's Eddie Robinson and FC Dallas' Andre Rocha were both ejected in the 80th minute. Robinson received his second yellow card of the match for pushing and Rocha was given a red card for violent conduct.
FC Dallas (3-3-4) had taken a 2-1 lead in the 69th minute after Drew Moor scored on a set play off a corner kick with a header from the top of the goalie's box. Rocha assisted on Moor's first goal of the season with a corner kick from the left corner.
The Dynamo's Corey Ashe, who entered the game at the beginning of the second half, tied the game at 1 in the 59th minute with his first career MLS goal. De Rosario started the scoring play with a cross to Ching from 40 yards. Ching took control of the pass near the top of the goalie's box before tapping the ball to Ashe.
FC Dallas' Kenny Cooper scored in the 35th minute on the first shot on goal of the game after he curled a kick around Houston goalie Pat Onstad from 15 yards.
The Dynamo (2-3-5) played without captain Wade Barrett, who was injured in practice on Tuesday. FC Dallas lost captain Duilio Davino at halftime after he injured his right ankle in the first half.
