Analysis: Once a well-regarded prospect, Montero has mostly struggled in the majors. But he's provided encouraging signs lately. The 26-year-old righty beat San Francisco 8-2 last Sunday for his second big league win - and first since September 2014. This time, he kept Philadelphia scoreless in every inning but the second and now has 21 strikeouts with a 2.89 ERA in 18 2/3 innings over four games (two starts) since being recalled June 14.
