FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) Mario Goetze scored two goals as Bayern Munich eased to a 4-0 victory over promoted Paderborn and moved to the top of the Bundesliga on Tuesday.
Goetze and Robert Lewandowski scored inside the first quarter of an hour and Goetze and Thomas Mueller netted late in the match as Bayern brought down to earth the team that had come into the match as the surprise league leader.
Paderborn did not embarrass itself despite the big defeat and wasted several chances. The small club is making its debut in the top tier and has a budget 25 times smaller than that of Bayern.
