Kaka double gives Orlando 2-1 win, costs NYC top East spot

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Kaka scored both goals as Orlando City beat New York City 2-1 on Sunday, preventing the Big Apple team from going top of Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.

NYC stayed two points behind East leader Toronto and is now only a point ahead of local rival New York after the Red Bulls defeated New England.

Kaka opened the scoring in the 32nd minute but Steven Mendoza equalized for the visitors in the 55th minute when he knocked in a rebound from a saved shot.
