Rangers manager McCoist expecting several bids
GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) Rangers manager Ally McCoist says the firm running the Scottish Premier League team since it entered bankruptcy protection has told him there will probably be several bids to buy the troubled club.
The club could still face liquidation if it cannot find a buyer to finance it through the rest of the season but McCoist says "there is a little bit more light at the end of the tunnel and more positive noises coming out."
Former Rangers director Paul Murray is leading a consortium calling itself the "Blue Knights" and Sale rugby union club owner Brian Kennedy is also a contender.
Sky Sports News reported Friday that Chicago-based Club 9 Sports is also interested in the record 53-time Scottish champion.
