Manchester United strolled to 4-1 victory over Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

A rocky start for the hosts saw Newcastle (4-2-6) dominate the opening half hour, almost adding to Dwight Gayle's opener as the Red Devils (8-2-2) appeared shellshocked at falling behind.

Against the run of play, United found an equaliser through Anthony Martial and from there the game was turned on its head. Chris Smalling put United ahead on the stroke of halftime, and from there United went from strength to strength.

A stellar second-half performance saw United cruise to victory with Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku adding their names to the scoresheet.

With those three points, Manchester United remain eight behind leaders Manchester City and one up on Chelsea in second.
