Extra Zip wins Aqueduct feature
NEW YORK (AP) Extra Zip held off Karakorum Legend by a head Friday in the $46,000 allowance feature for New York-breds on the turf at Aqueduct.
Jorge Chavez was aboard for trainer John Toscano as Extra Zip ran the one mile in 1:38.06 on the firm course. The 5-year-old gelding improved to 7 for 18 with his fourth win of the season.
The 6-5 favorite, Extra Zip paid $4.70, $2.80 and $2.30. Karakorum Legend returned $4 and $3. Minnie Punt earned $2.90 to show.
