Benfica stays 3 points ahead of Porto with 3 rounds left

LISBON, Portugal (AP) Benfica stayed on course to defend its Portuguese league title after beating Estoril 2-1 Saturday to keep its three-point lead over FC Porto with three rounds left.

Brazilian forward Jonas scored two goals for Benfica with the opener coming from the penalty spot in the 29th minute after Lica fouled Nelson Semedo.

After Kleber leveled for Estoril with a half-hour remaining, Jonas needed just six minutes to put Benfica back in front for good.
