(TSX / STATS) -- Texas small forward transfer Tevin Mack committed to Alabama, multiple outlets reported on Wednesday.

Mack visited the Crimson Tide's campus on Tuesday.

Mack, who was one of the top recruits in the 2015 class, had signed with Virginia Commonwealth before following Longhorns coach Shaka Smart to Austin after receiving a release from his National Letter of Intent.

The 6-foot-7 Mack was suspended twice last season for a violation of team rules, including indefinitely by Smart on Jan. 12. He didn't appear in another game for the rest of last season and received his release from the school in late February.

Mack averaged a team-high 14.8 points and 4.8 rebounds before the suspension. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2018-19 season because of NCAA transfer rules.
